When I was commissioned to create forty silk scarves for the Trillium Miata Club MX-5, I imagined them not simply as silk pieces, but as companions for the journey.

Each scarf is handcrafted using the traditional cyanotype process. Botanical elements, UV light, water, and time come together to create luminous images in shades of blue. Because this process relies on natural materials and sunlight, no two pieces are ever the same. Each scarf is truly one-of-a-kind.

The collection unfolds through eight botanical themes: Ferns, Wildflowers, Tangled Branches, Beneath the Canopy, Evergreen, Maple Whispers, Botanical Duet, and Everlasting Botanical.
Each theme reflects a different gesture of the forest, inspired by the botanical landscape surrounding my studio in Mulmur, Ontario.

Every scarf includes a label with a short message about its theme, along with a brief introduction to the cyanotype process.

Created especially for the members of the Trillium Miata Club, these scarves were designed to accompany their drives through Ontario’s landscapes, a small piece of the forest carried along the road.
