Cyanotype is an alternative photographic printing process that uses UV light from the sun or a UV lamp to create images. With this simple chemical process and materials found in nature, you can experiment and create unique Prussian blueprints. Each print will be one-of-a-kind, perfect for framing, gifting, cardmaking, collage, or mixed media work.

What you will learn:

β€’ A brief history of cyanotype, as well as viewing examples to spark your creativity.

β€’ All the steps required to create your cyanotype 5" x 7" cards.

β€’ How to create different compositions and use objects to add visual interest to your prints.

β€’ Identify potential problems and avoid basic errors with these tips.

Previous knowledge is not required.

Note: Cyanotype printing is weather-dependent. If the workshop day is predicted to be cloudy, we will do the workshop indoor using UV lamp.
